My Soul At Play by JJ Otero runs thru September
JJ Otero is a new up and coming artist/musician. We are proud & honored to be housing his 1st collection of abstract acrylic paintings. In JJ's words " This will be my very first time presenting a group of my painting to the public. I am excited and yet terrified. In an alternative universe, I was a bedroom musician for years and finally decided to take my music to the public about 4 years ago. Yet, there was always a yearning to paint!
I saw friends painting, strangers painting, but I never imagined myself painting until a good friend/mentor took me aside and said " let's stretch a canvas for you." What he meant was, just do it and I'll give you some tips, along the way. Wow! I'm a painter. A baby on.
My subjects are abstract but recognizable. I don't know what language to use to describe what I do but all I know is that I love it." His reception is Sep. 3, 2010 5pm-9pm at Kosmic Trading Post and runs thru September. Please join us in this celebration of Art!
